Mahalo nui loa for your generous donations for flood relief on Kauai! Meals for first responders and families affected by floods ended this past week. Everyone was so grateful!
You can read the news article, “Kapaa Restaurateur Still Cranking Out Meals” here.
Note From Pastor Bob:
A BIG MAHALO to so many of you who have expressed concern for Becky and me, the church and our community here on Kauai! Hands down, this is the worst flooding in our 22 years here and that’s born out by the National Weather Service records that indicate parts of our island received a record 27 inches of rain in 24 hours on Sunday — and more rain is on the way!
Lots of people have lost homes, cars and businesses and the damage to our roads, bridges, utilities and infrastructure is devastating!
Thankfully, as of yet, there has been no loss of life. Our church, Crossroads Christian Fellowship along with Kauai Bible College, is participating in a flood relief effort to help those who have been adversely impacted by this terrible flood.
We have a team that is cooking meals for the First Responders who are working tirelessly on the north shore.
If you’d like to make a tax-deductible financial contribution toward that effort, please contact our church office at (808) 821-2228 and our staff will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
You can also easily donate funds securely through our Giving page. Any funds you give will be used for equipment, supplies, materials and for feeding and supporting our work crews. We’ll be posting more updates/photos later, but for now, on behalf of those who will be blessed by your help, we want to thank you for your prayers, aloha and desire to be a part of lifting up, encouraging and loving those who will directly benefit from your generosity! Mahalo!!
