ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR 5-19-24

SAFETALK TRAINING IS TODAY AFTER SERVICE, 11:45-4:00. Lunch at 11:45. See Rae if you would like to attend but did not register. What is safeTALK? Suicide Alertness For Everyone. We all need to be more alert to the risk of suicide, and we want to respond quickly when someone might be at risk of suicide.

ULU I KE ALOHA SESSION SUNDAY JUNE 2: After our June 2 potluck, the Ulu I Ke Aloha marriage group will have a session on parenting – we’ll discuss how we can address matters of the hearts more than controlling behaviors temporarily; being prepared with game plans for when life happens so we don’t get caught up in the moments of life and end up with that “mom guilt” later + more. Session will last 1 to 1-1/2 hours max. All are welcome!

LANA NA’AU MONDAY NIGHTS STARTING JUNE 3: Lana Na’Au – Hope for Hearts And Minds – will meeting Monday evenings starting June 3 @ 6-7:30 at CCF to let God and His Word bring healing to our hurts, and all parts of us, that may be having a ripple effect in other areas of our lives. All are welcome!

HULA MINISTRY ON BREAK: The Hula ministry is taking a 2-week break. They will start back up on Tues. June 4 @ 4:15 with a new song and dance. If anyone would like to learn, please come to practice on that date. See Michaila for more information. Contact info in the bulletin.

CAMP ROOTED REGISTRATION OPEN: June 14-17 @ Camp Makanalani in Kilauea. Jr High & High School youth ages 12-17. $65/person (includes meals). Registration and payment due May 31. Contact Josiah Ancheta or Tyler Carvalho to register or for any questions. Contact info in the bulletin.

KKOA LAUHALA BRACELET FUNDRAISER: LIMITED TIME ONLY. Get a one-of-a-kind, handwoven, personalized lauhala bracelet and support KKOA in their efforts to provide safe places to deter suicide through suicide prevention training for both adults and youth, hands-on ‘aina based education and mentorship, mobilizing teams to provide locally grown foods to our kupuna and, providing community events and workshops that allow multiple generations to learn and grow together. NOURISH ADOPT A KUPUNA PROGRAM: See flyers at greeter’s table for ways you can help provide nourishing meals to our island kupuna. All donations will be matched now through June, so any funds we receive will be doubled! Our goal is $48,000 by end of June. Contact Karolyn or Michaila for any questions.

ALL CHURCH STUDY:

RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH: This is an exciting, foundational 7-week study designed to equip all believers to rightly dividing the Word of Truth and to see Jesus on every page of the Bible, multiple times!! Mondays @ 6pm at the Kapa’a Neighborhood Center. Led by Richmond Shee. Bring a friend! A sign-up sheet is at the greeter’s table.
